Deep Canvassing is an essential tactic for voter engagement and Get Out The Vote, but isn’t included in many campaign strategies. This training is for organizers and advocates who are interested in learning more about deep canvassing, how to integrate it into your GOTV tactics, best practices for utilizing it in 1-on-1 conversations, and the psychology behind its effectiveness. Participants will leave with: 

• The core elements of deep canvassing, and how it differs from traditional canvassing efforts,

• Understanding best practices for use, and how to avoid common pitfalls used in today’s canvassing

• Tools and the conversation flow used in deep canvassing

• An opportunity to practice roleplaying deep canvassing elements with key voter demographic scenarios
