Mutual Aid for Climate Justice 101

When communities face extreme weather, health crises, food insecurity, or harmful environmental conditions, how can mutual aid be mobilized in a time when government support is unreliable?

Introducing Mutual Aid for Climate Justice 101, an interactive training to learn how community members can take care of each other’s needs and support each other equitably, without a top-down hierarchy.

In this intro level training, expect to:

  • learn a definition of mutual aid
  • cover contemporary and historical examples of mutual aid for social change
  • brainstorm how mutual aid can be a response to the climate crisis
  • begin to think about your own networks of support.
