When communities face extreme weather, health crises, food insecurity, or harmful environmental conditions, how can mutual aid be mobilized in a time when government support is unreliable?

Introducing Mutual Aid for Climate Justice 101, a training to learn how community members can take care of each other’s needs and support each other equitably, without a top-down hierarchy.

In this intro level training, expect to:

  • Learn a definition of mutual aid
  • Cover contemporary and historical examples of mutual aid
  • Brainstorm how mutual aid can be a response to the climate crisis
  • Begin to think about your own skills and resources for mutual aid
  • Connect to resources for finding mutual aid in your local community
