Here, we celebrate the hard-fought progress our community has made in advancing clean energy. This collection of storybanks showcases how people have been leading projects and programs to deliver tangible benefits—more jobs, lower costs, improved health outcomes, climate resilience, and more—for their communities, through the support of key clean energy investments like the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). ACE’s CROP stories are grounded in their theory of change that reaching, persuading and activating audiences beyond the climate movement echo chamber requires trusted messengers who amplify clean energy benefits, delivered through politically innocuous brands.

A collaborative storytelling project of Generation 180, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, and the Southeast Sustainability Directors Network, this campaign highlights how federal investments are playing a meaningful role in the Southeast’s transition towards a new clean energy economy. Environment America


Environment America is advancing the shift to clean, renewable energy powered by the Inflation Reduction Act by sharing testimonials from a range of voices who are choosing and advocating for clean energy.

Generation 180


Generation 180 tells stories of how everyone can enjoy the benefits of clean energy, including gas savings, less pollution, climate resilience and more. ReImagine Appalachia’s showing how renewable energy projects and clean manufacturing investments are supporting and even reviving culture and legacy in rural Appalachian communities. RE-volv helps nonprofits go solar, and their stories aim to educate communities about the importance of clean energy.

Rewiring America


Rewiring America is sharing stories from Americans on the real-life benefits obtained from the tax credits they used from the Inflation Reduction Act, and how it has helped them electrify their life from buying heat pumps to electric water heaters, and other energy-savings tools.

Southern Alliance for Clean Energy


The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy shares six stories of resilience in their “A (Solar) Light in the Dark: Six Uplifting Stories from Hurricane Season” series. Their stories demonstrate how residents sustained their resilience through clean energy projects during the devastation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Solar United Neighbors


Solar United Neighbors is dedicated to building an energy system that works by telling stories of how people have been impacted by going solar. You can find stories about how people are benefitting from the Inflated Reduction Act, the Rural Energy for America (REAP) Program, Solar For All, solar accessibility and affordability, energy democracy, and more. The Payback Campaign


This digital Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) campaign was developed by New World agency, in partnership with Georgia Interfaith Power & Light and Make the Road Nevada. Their goal was to boost awareness about the IRA’s benefits among audiences who are most likely to support the IRA but didn’t know much about the policy. The team’s approach was to generate excitement about the IRA’s clean energy savings and cash back benefits, with younger (18-40), BIPOC audiences, through culture-forward, “non-wonky”, splashy ads and interventions. Their campaign features testimonials from parents who secured clean, electric school buses, videos from influencers quizzing pedestrians about the IRA, and churches who installed solar power on their roofs.
