You’ve learned how to decode jargon, now it’s time to take the next step. In this interactive 201 training, participants will explore how different audiences interpret policy, climate, and organizing language based on their experiences, values, identities, and relationship to advocacy work. We’ll examine why a message that resonates with one audience may fall flat with another, and practice adapting complex concepts without losing accuracy or meaning.
Through this training, participants will:
- Test different approaches to communicating policy and climate issues,
- Determine when specialized language should be defined or translated,
- Refine messages to better connect with their intended audiences, and
- Have practical tools for crafting audience-centered communications that are clear, engaging, and impactful
