Study examined people’s acceptance (positive attitude towards) and support (active behavorial component) of climate policies in Australia as they changed through the legislative process. Found that while both acceptance and support levels remained relatively stable across highly-contentious 2013 election period, policy acceptance did not necessarily lead to policy support. Analysis may have implications for climate engagement among U.S. public, particularly with regards to distinction between acceptance and support.
