The church I grew up attending, Westminster Presbyterian in Durham, NC, recently put solar panels on the roof and installed a battery storage system. As an Earth Care Congregation, they are committed to reducing carbon pollution and also hope the church can be a “resiliency hub” as our community faces increasingly severe and unpredictable storms, heat, and other dangerous weather events.
