In Cleveland, OH, the nonprofit Cleveland Owns is incubating the state’s first community-owned solar developer, Cleveland Solar Cooperative, which was the subject of a recent case study funded by the Climate Advocacy Lab. On this webinar, you’ll hear from the organizers who are running this experiment in Energy Democracy in Cleveland.

You don’t have to be a polling expert to utilize polling data in your work. Polling is an important tool in the movement’s toolbox and any advocate can gain an understanding of how to interpret poll data and to glean strategic guidance from it. Join the Lab and the Environmental Polling Consortium (EPC) for an introductory webinar on utilizing public opinion research for your campaigns. 
This webinar will:

Demystify polling and show how it can be a powerful tool for climate advocacy; 
Provide direction on where to find relevant polling data and how to utilize it in your advocacy;
Share examples of how organizations in the movement have used polling to super-charge their advocacy; and
Answer questions participants have!

Join us for the second part in our Ohio-specific series for a deep dive into the Critical Capacities that the Lab uses as a framework for our climate justice work. This training will focus on the key insights and skills needed to build a powerful, justice-centered movement, as well as the importance of building and sustaining strategic capacity, disruptive capacity, institutional/electoral capacity, and organizing capacity! Learn more about how developing these different capacities is crucial to winning big in the climate justice movement. 

Join us for the first part of our Ohio-specific series, Political Education. This training will delve into the root causes of the climate crisis, explore concepts such as colonialism, capitalism, white supremacy, and discuss the ways that environmental racism impacts marginalized communities. Participants will leave with a deeper political analysis and understanding of climate justice and the ideologies upholding the fossil fuel industry.

Maximize impact in this session with the Lab’s training on the most effective people-powered ways to influence legislators and other policymakers. We draw from the latest field research and social science (for example, it turns out sending fewer emails can be more powerful than flooding with too many).
